A Poem for My Elephants

Hello my sweet baby Elephants. I hope you are doing well.

This year has ended abruptly and for that I am an empty shell.

I miss you all dearly, I hope you miss me too.

I had so many more plans for us to play and do.

Even though your year didn't turn out just right,

Please know I am here for you day and night.

We will get through this together, your family, you and me,

We will keep being silly, learning, playing, and will be

The very best Elephants under the sun.

Your kindergarten year had only just begun.

But please don't be sad, come visit when you can

I will be there waiting with an open hand

I hope to see you learning, writing, playing, and doing math

please don't fight your family when they say it's time for a bath ;)

You have changed me for the better

This I know is true

My life is changed each year I see a new group of you

A new adventure might be approaching sooner than we thought

But I am glad I was able to teach you what I've taught.

I love you my sweet baby Elephants, don't ever change.

Keep being you, changing the world, don't ever think you're strange.

You are special 

You are kind

I love you with my whole heart
